Akra Hotels Aims to Meet 100% of Its Electricity Needs from Solar Energy by the End of 2025
Focusing on solar power plant investments as part of its sustainability efforts, Akra Hotels met 65% of its electricity needs from solar energy in 2024. With ongoing investments, the company aims to supply 100% of its electricity consumption from solar power plants by the end of 2025.
In line with its environmental responsibility, Akra Hotels has continued to invest in solar energy since 2022. It launched solar power plants in Döşemealtı and Aksu in 2022, Afyon Sandıklı in 2023, and Alanya and Elmalı Bayındır in 2024. These facilities generated 18,990,945 kWh of electricity in 2024, covering approximately 65% of the group’s total consumption.
To achieve its target of meeting all electricity needs from solar energy, Akra Hotels plans to launch a 3.9 mWp solar power plant in Elmalı Kışlaköy in March 2025.
With the currently operational plants reaching a total capacity of 21 mWp, Akra Hotels aims to produce 33 million kWh of electricity from solar sources by the end of 2025. The group continues to invest in energy-saving measures to realize this goal and meet 100% of the energy demand of all its facilities through solar power.
