With over 50 years of experience in the tourism industry, Akra Hotels has taken another step in its sustainability efforts by converting part of its company fleet to electric vehicles. With an investment in a total of 17 electric vehicles, the group aims to reduce fuel consumption and lower carbon emissions.

Drawing on its deep-rooted legacy, Akra Hotels reflects its accumulated knowledge, love, and sense of responsibility into its commitment to people, nature, history, and the arts. The group’s new electric vehicles will be powered by solar energy generated from its solar power plants, which were launched in 2022 and now have a total installed capacity of 21 mWp.

Looking ahead, Akra Hotels plans to continue investing in electric vehicles and sustainability projects. By the end of 2025, the company aims to meet 100% of its electricity needs across all facilities from its own renewable energy sources. Among its future goals are upgrading all technical equipment in its hotels to be compatible with electric infrastructure and progressing toward a Carbon Zero target.
